Dr Bling Bling
Monarch gathers every account you own in one live dashboard. Dr Bling Bling reads the statements you download and keeps the result on your phone.
If you want net worth, investments, shared budgets for a couple and everything updating by itself, Monarch does far more than this app. It is the broader product.
If you would rather not hand your accounts to another service, and a monthly look at where the money went is all you need, you do not need all of that.

It updates by itself. It sees investments and balances. Two people can share it, and you can use it on a computer. This app does none of those things, and it is fair to say so before you install anything.
It is much smaller, and for some people that is the point. It never asks for a bank password, because it never talks to your bank. There is no account, and your statements are read on the iPhone itself, so nobody here could look at your money even if they wanted to.
A statement also carries its own proof. Where the bank prints a running balance, each line has to agree with the one above, and the app tells you if one does not. A bank feed gives you figures with nothing to check them against.
And there is no yearly renewal to remember.
Nothing arrives by itself. You add a statement when you have one, usually once a month. There are no live balances, and no investments.
Free to download, and every way of adding a statement is free. No bank login, no account, no subscription.
Its pricing page lists paid plans and a free first week. It did not list a free plan when we checked.
No. It reads bank and card statements, and it gives no investment information of any kind.
Written by the people who make Dr Bling Bling, so weigh it accordingly. What we say about other apps is what they published on 1 November 2026, and prices and features change. Their names belong to their owners, and we have no connection with them. Sources: Monarch pricing.
