Dr Bling Bling
Emma is one of the UK's best-known money apps, and it connects to your accounts. Dr Bling Bling reads the statements you download and keeps everything on your phone.
If you want every account connected, spotted subscriptions, bills and balances, all updating on their own, Emma does much more than this app.
If you would rather not link your bank to anything, and you do not want to think about which plan you are on, there is a simpler option.

Emma's help pages say prices can change and to check the app for current rates.
It works without you doing anything, it covers far more, and it runs on Android too. If a live picture of your accounts is what you are after, a statement reader cannot give you that.
Open Banking is well regulated, and it does not give an app your password. It does still move your spending history onto a company's systems. Here that never happens. Statements are read on the iPhone, there is no account, and nothing is sent anywhere.
The pricing is also short enough to fit in a sentence. Free to use, one purchase if you want everything, and no renewal, ever.
No live balances, no budgets, no automatic updates. You add a statement when you have one. British statements should read well, but only Santander Portugal has been walked through end to end so far, so a first import may need a few more answers from you.
Free to download, and every way of adding a statement is free. No bank login, no account, no subscription.
There is a free version and three paid plans. Check the app for the current price, as Emma notes that they change.
Yes. Dr Bling Bling has a free version that never runs out and one optional purchase, paid once.
Written by the people who make Dr Bling Bling, so weigh it accordingly. What we say about other apps is what they published on 1 November 2026, and prices and features change. Their names belong to their owners, and we have no connection with them. Sources: Emma help centre, upgrades.
